SENIOR CRICKET

Our roots in ladies cricket go all the way back to 2011 when we took the decision to start a senior team to stop all our talented youngsters leaving the club and going elsewhere to progress. We started with a small number of Sussex age group players ably backed up by mums who most weeks made up the numbers. We entered the Women’s Cricket Southern League in the bottom division and have now progressed to the Premier League where we have remained for a number of years. There appears to be
a popular misconception that this is all we do, but we offer so much more….

We pride ourselves on being a warm and welcoming club, small in numbers, but with a big heart. We
are also looking to expand our senior playing squads.

We have a club ethos built around inclusion and involvement of all our players from Juniors all the way through to the 1 st XI.

We run two midweek ladies T20 teams playing in the local Sussex League. These teams are a mixture of
developing junior players, and those who want to play no pressure cricket, or just for fun!

This season we have started a ladies softball team to provide some real fun social cricket for ladies who
have played cricket or have no previous experience, or never played the game before.

We run a Sunday 1st XI for players wanting to challenge themselves and progress to the highest level.
We are proud to have members who are in the England Women’s Academy, and players who are
playing women’s representative cricket, Senior county cricket, Junior County age group cricket, and
club players.

We are looking for players for this and next season so if you are…

  •  A player of ANY ability looking for a new club

  •  A university Student wanting to play cricket for part of a season whilst at a local Uni

  •  Someone wanting to try a new sport

  •  Looking to stay active, meet people, and make friends

Then we are the club for you!!

We have sensational new facilities, with our new clubhouse just opened this season, priority use of the
main square for our 1st XI games, and cricket for all abilities that we tailor to meet the needs of our
members.

Please don’t think “it’s all about the Premier League” or “I am worried I’m not good enough”. We really
do provide cricket for everyone and anyone, that’s what we are all about. All our members are
important to us.

If you want to find out more about us and what we do, please just get in touch using the contact

JUNIOR CRICKET

Our junior section is well established and was one of the first girls’ cricket sections in the area. We have over ten years’ experience to build on and we believe in all our members being involved in all our games. Everyone gets the chance to take an active part in matches and training is structured to ensure the girls can learn in a no pressure environment, whilst having fun and keeping fit. This gives them the opportunity to take this forward into the matches.

We are proud to offer a full package of junior cricket for girls of all ages and abilities and we top this off with fantastic new facilities at Ansty CC

We are looking to build our Sunday squad with the aim of having two senior teams playing on a Sunday in years to come. We also want to provide cricket for all so will continue with our midweek Ladies T20 teams for our developing ladies, and a ladies softball team for girls who want to have fun!
