Ladies 1st XI Kit Sponsor Announced Ahead   of   our   first   season   in   the   Women’s   Cricket   Southern   League   Premier   Division,   we   are   pleased   to   announce   that Ansty   Ladies   CC   1 st   XI   main   kit   sponsor   for   the   2017   /   2018   seasons will   be   Hurst   College. Hurst   is   a   co-educational   school   for   pupils   from   4   -18   years,   with   a   strong   community   where   pupils   are known,    nurtured    and    challenged    to    the    best    of    their    ability.   We    look    forward    to    establishing    and maintaining   a   link   with   Hurst   and   working   with   them   to   develop   the   standard   of   girls’   cricket   at   both Hurst and Ansty Ladies CC. Dave Burt who heads up the girls’ section and coaches the Ladies Teams at Ansty said “This   is   a   fantastic   opportunity   for   us   to   form   a   link   with   a   top   college,   local   to   our   club,   which   has   an   established   and   successful   girls   sports programme   in   a   huge   number   of   sports   including   cricket. We   already   have   a   number   of   Hurst   Girls   in   our   teams,   with   some   currently   featuring in   our   1 st    XI   squad,   and   we   hope   with   time   that   these   numbers   will   increase.   I   am   also   hoping   that   Ansty   can   play   a   number   of   games   against Hurst   so we   can   both   further   raise   the   standard   of   cricket we   play. We   are   incredibly   lucky   to   have   a   large   number   of   Level   II   coaches, who   also play   in   our   1 st    XI,   who   also   act   as   great   role   models   for   our   younger   players.      Our   coaches   are   all   really   looking   forward   to   being   able   to   work with, and alongside, Rob, Tina and the Hurst team.” Rob Kift, Director of Sport at Hurst, added, “I   am   really   pleased   that   Hurst   is   able   to   support   Cricket   in   the   local   community   in   this   way.   We   have   a   strong   cricketing   tradition   and   we   also have   strong   links   with   Ansty   Cricket   club.   To   be   able   to   help   develop   the   game   within   the   local   area   is   fantastic.   Girls’   cricket   is   bourgeoning   at the   moment   and   the   College   is   at   the   forefront   of   the   school’s   game,   under   the watchful   eye   of   Girls   Head   Cricket   Coach, Tina Towler. Tina   has had   a   long   association with Ansty   and   many   of   our   girls   train   and   play   there,   so   to   forge   this   link   is   only   going   to   strengthen   both   the   school   and the club in to the future.”
